Admissions Process

We are excited to welcome prospective families to Assumption-St. Bridget School! Below is a step-by-step guide to our admissions process.

Admissions Process & Information

  1. Inquire - Begin by requesting information about grade-level availability. Our team is happy to provide details and answer any initial questions you may have.
  2. Visit - Join us for an Open House or campus tour! Seeing our school in person is the best way to experience our classroom learning, student life, and community.
  3. Apply Online - Complete and submit your application and required documentation in the Application Checklist below. PreK and Kindergarten application submission deadline is Monday, December 16th. 1st - 8th grade applications are accepted throughout the school year.
  4. Shadow Day - 1st - 8th grade transfers are scheduled for a visit, where they get to be an ASB student for the day. Our shadow days include an academic assessment as well.
  5.  Admissions Offer - Upon acceptance, families will receive an offer of admissions. PreK & Kindergarten offers of admission start mid-January. Acceptance offers for 1st - 8th grades are offered on a rolling basis as space permits.
  6. Tuition Deposit - To secure your child’s spot, a tuition deposit of $1,000 is required and non-refundable. This deposit is applied toward your tuition payment plan.
  7. Enrollment Period - Enrollment for the upcoming school year takes place annually in March. Tuition is paid over ten months, from May through February.

Application Document Checklist

Please submit the following documents with your application:

  2. Standardized Test Scores (for grades 1st-8th)
  3. Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation Results (if applicable)
  4. Parish Registration Form (if interested in registering with one of our parishes: Assumption Church or St. Bridget Church)

Age Eligibility

PreK
Children must be at least four-years-old by August 31st to apply for PreK. Applicants that are five-years-old by August 31st will be processed as Kindergarten applicants.

Kindergarten

Children must be five-years-old on or before August 31st to apply for Kindergarten. All Kindergarten applicants will be screened using the Gesell Developmental Observation in January, which helps determine Kindergarten readiness and guide our staff in making grade-level recommendations. Admissions offers are based on our staff’s recommendations.

Enrollment Priority

We prioritize enrollment based on the following criteria:
  1. Current Families: Families with siblings already enrolled
  2. Parish Families: Registered and active parish families
  3. Out-of-Parish Catholic Families: Including families from other Catholic or Orthodox communities
  4. Non-Catholic Families

In cases where space is limited, available spots are divided equally between Assumption and St. Bridget parishes. Our pastor from these parishes will make the final determination, with priority given to families actively involved in parish life.

Enrollment Requirements

  1. Kindergarten Applicants: All incoming Kindergarten students are screened in January using the Gesell Developmental Observation, which identifies developmental age and Kindergarten readiness.
  2. 1st-8th Grade Applicants: Students applying for 1st through 8th grade will participate in a Shadow Day, during which they will experience a day at ASB and take part in a grade-level assessment.

In-Parish Enrollment Priority & Tuition Eligibility

To qualify for In-Parish Enrollment Priority, families must meet the following criteria by Monday, December 16th, 2024:

  1. Registered members of Assumption or St. Bridget Parish.
  2. Attend Mass regularly.
  3. At least one parent is a practicing Catholic or enrolled in the OCIA program.
  4. Children are baptized or enrolled in the OCIC program for baptism.

Families meeting these requirements by December 16th, 2024, will be considered Active Parishioners, and given In-Parish status for enrollment priority and considered for In-Parish tuition. Currently registered parishioner families meeting these requirements will be considered Active Parishioners, and considered for In-Parish tuition rates. A Parish Reflection Form is required during our re-enrollment period in March and all approvals for In-Parish Tuition are at the discretion of our pastor.

Any family that does not meet the requirements by the deadline of December 16th, will not be considered In-Parish status for enrollment priority nor will they be considered for In-Parish tuition during our annual re-enrollment period.
