Band
ASB boasts three incredible instrumental groups for 4th-8th grade students. Here at ASB, there’s a place for musicians of all levels.
Beginning Band
This ensemble is for the students that are new to instrumental music. Most of the ensemble is comprised of 4th graders however it is open to any beginner! If you want to learn the clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, baritone, trombone, or percussion, then this is your band! Beginning Band meets one or two times per week after school.
Concert Band
This group is the “musical hub” of the entire program. Concert Band is for students that completed Beginning Band or were placed into the group via an individual assessment. This ensemble focuses on performing traditional concert band literature, new popular songs, Christmas music and much more. The Concert Band is mainly focused on developing individual musicianship skills and technique. Typically, Concert Band meets once a week before school.
Street Band
The ASB Drum Line is a percussion ensemble open to all 5th-8th grade students. This group focuses on high-energy drum music used at assemblies and other spirit functions. Drum Line meets once per week before school.
