Bryan Van Pelt

Mr. Van Pelt is one of ASB's two music teachers, instructing music for PreK through 2nd grade and Middle School. He also runs a before- and after-school band program and directs the 7th and 8th grade Student Leadership Team. His teaching philosophy centers on "person first, student second," emphasizing the importance of building personal, respectful relationships with students to enhance their learning experience. He values students' individuality, acknowledging their emotions and unique backgrounds. A highlight of his work at ASB is the Christmas Concert, in which over 300 families attend to enjoy the wonderful young musicians and singers.
