Mark Dougherty '89

Mark Dougherty came to ASB in 1998.  Since that time he has worn many hats including instructional aide, extended care staff, primary technology instructor, and physical education teacher.  He has been a 5th grade teacher since 2007. Mark is an ASB alum graduating class of 1989.  He attended Blanchet Highschool and the University of Washington earning a B.A. in American Ethnic History.  Mark received a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle University. Mark’s education philosophy is rooted in making meaningful connections with students, discovering the diverse ways in which they learn, and implementing best practices to accommodate each student’s needs.
